Björnfabriken är ett konst & arkitektkontor baserat i Skellefteå / Västerbotten.
Vi hjälper till att ta hand om det som redan finns & att skapa nytt där något fattas.
Här arbetar vi bland annat med konceptutveckling av små och stora projekt inom både konst och arkitektur, byggnadsvård, återbruk, sociala frågeställningar och utemiljö. Vi hjälper till med skiss, bygglov & detaljplaneändringar.

Just nu arbetar Björnfabriken bland annat med en skiss till ny askgravlund i Södra Lappland, ombyggnation av villa + utemiljö samt en offentlig gestalting för kommun i Västerbotten.
Personen bakom Björnfabriken är Shirly Holmberg — Arkitekt SAR/MSA & verksam konstnär med bakgrund inom grafisk design & kommunikation.

[Bear factory] is an architecture and art company in the north of Sweden.
The person behind the company is Shirly Holmberg, Architect and artist.Here at Björnfabriken we work after the concept “less is most likely more”, we like to solve big problems in a small way. Meaning that the more impact you can do with the less material - the better the outcome.
It means that we focus on details, no matter how small, and we always have the bigger picture in the back of our mind.
One needs to be serious from time to time, but it´s important to remember how to play, challenge and discover! And that is something we take very seriously.
Reality is not something we need to endure, it´s something we (can) create. For an architect it´s an obvious responsibility, to take responsibility for people not having to endure the world. It´s the same for artists.
